There's something extremely magical about winter time from 4pm-5pm. The light seems to diminish at an unknown speed and the presence of ice looks beautiful. Mark and I went exploring during this time last night..

I am in the middle of editing a short video about my two sisters and I for a Christmas gift for my parents. And here we are (including the pup):

This picture seems to sum up my semester, and the next 2 weeks ahead of me. I will have to dig up a similar drawing I drew two years ago which represented another horrible school year. It had something to do with digging a large hole...

the fantastic

If you haven't already, you should see "Fantastic Mr. Fox" directed by Wes Anderson. I was blown away by the detail in the characters. The colors in the film were outstanding, and nothing far from what I'm used to seeing in Anderson's films. I think animation is a perfect medium for him!

a little help, please?

The task of fixing the couch I purchased for cheap is, well, a never ending one. I finally went to the fabric store and picked some samples for re-upholstering the cushions. I don't mind the current color, but they seem to be..um..shedding?

Also, finding a place to re-upholster the cushions is quite similar to finding a needle in a haystack. If only I knew how to sew..

I like the orange one. We'll see if this job ever gets done.

happy halloween & weekend bits

For my makeup class, I had to make a clown design on my face. I am not a fan of clowns, so my design was a little more on the fun side.

This weekend, Mark and I opened the Sculpey clay and let our imaginations create these lovely clay heads. My figures need a little dental work and Mark's look like they are hypnotized. I can't wait until school is over so I can really try my hand at animation, and begin Walter the Worm.
